Ham se taskheer muqadar k sitaray na huway,

Zindagi aap thay, aor aap hamaray na huway,

Phir batao k bhala kis pe sitam dhao ge,

Shehr-e-ulfat mein agar dard k maray na huway,

Such to ye hay k bina us k guzara jewan,

Ye bhi such hai k bina us k guzaray na huway,

Is liay apna milan ho bhi nahin sakta tha,

Aik Darya k kabhi dono kinaray na huway,

Toot jatay hain sabhi peyar k rishtay aksar,

Kachay dhagay to kisi k bhi saharay na huway...
